בלב סדרה זו של עמותת פוה ז300זקבעיר
אפולדה עומדים נושאים הקשורים לבריחתם של
ילדים ממלחמה ורדיפות מסיבות גזעניות, אתניות
ודתיות. הסדרה החלה בראיון עם שמעון וייסבקר,
אשר בילדותו נשלח לארץ ישראל על ידי הוריו
היהודים במסגרת עלית הנוער, זמן קצר לאחר
תחילת מלחמת העולם השנייה.
זהו אחד מ-17 ראיונות שערכו מריון שניידר ואודו
וולפלד באפריל 2016 בכמה ערים בישראל עם
אנשים שברחו מגרמניה הנאצית עם ובלי הורים בין
השנים 1933 ל-1939. רק כך ניתן היה להציל את
חייהם; כמעט כל קרובי המשפחה שנותרו בגרמניה
נרצחו. בחלק מהמקרים הם הצליחו לשרוד גטאות
ומחנות ריכוז.
